Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, [Level III] Neonatal Intensive-Care Unit (NICU)

A Level III NICU in a calm environment punctuated with warm colors and wood tone finishes. Each room has comfortable chairs for parents to relax as they learn to care for their babies. The design incorporates flexibility to allow portable ventilators, monitors and crash carts. Similar to the new ICU that SWA Architects designed for Henry Mayo, sub nurse stations were created between rooms maximize patient visibility and level of care.
