Providence Health System, Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center

The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center is the signature building in the phased Burbank Medical Plaza development. This new 50,500 sq. ft., four-story Cancer Center has state of the art equipment and incorporates healing environment design elements.

Sharing a vision and a common goal, donors, facility leaders, users, and the design team identified what patients, families and the care teams would need in an “ideal” cancer center.  This collaboration focused on the elements considered for this project into two key aspects: first the best care and treatment delivered with a patient centered approach, and second, an environment conducive to a peaceful and healing atmosphere.

A soothing color palette, water features, healing garden and Library complement a host of programs such as Medical Oncology and Infusion, Women’s Oncology, Pharmacy, Nutrition Center, Appearance Center, Rehabilitation and Integrative Medicine.
